My name is Barbara and I’m married to Kevin. We have a beautiful Standard Poodle called Summer Rose. Almost 18 months ago we decided to downsize and buy an apartment in Oyster Quay. This has turned out to be a really good decision for us. The residents are so friendly in this little community and we have already made many friends. Great restaurants and entertainment on our doorstep with great walks around the marina. Also lovely sitting on our balcony with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. What more could we ask for.
We purchased our apartment in 1994. The brief was that it had to have two bathrooms, near a hospital and Doctor’s surgery plus shops and restaurants within easy reach and be safe when we went away in the Winter. Here we are in 2026 and I am still very happy living in Oyster Quay.
Our association with Oyster Quay goes back some 30 years and after a detour back in Ireland for 10 years we returned
In 2016 having missed the community spirit, the convenience of all services and restaurants, value for money, security and service help. We realised how important they were to residents of a certain age. A safe and pleasant place to enjoy our retirement..
