About the Estate

In 1987, Oyster Quay became the signature centrepiece at the head of Port Solent Marina, created in the mid-1980s as a marina village inspired by Mediterranean living, similar to Port Grimaud in France.

Architect designed and built by Regalian Homes to a luxury standard, the development offers apartments and penthouses with a communal leisure centre and private grounds, extensive parking and garaging, plus features such as barbeque areas and fishponds.

All apartments have balconies overlooking Port Solent Marina and The Boardwalk, a lively waterfront area with restaurants, shops, offices and a sports centre—widely regarded as one of the most prestigious marinas in the UK. Many homes have berths visible from the balcony, reserved parking spaces and garages, with additional visitor parking available.

Oyster Quay comprises 167 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments across nine separate entrances, each with lift and stairs, and each landing serving only three apartments. There are six main apartment layouts (varying by floor level) and 12 “specials”, mainly penthouses, with some rectangular homes and distinctive wedge-shaped corner apartments.

Oyster Quay Management Limited (OQML)

Oyster Quay Management Limited (OQML) is owned by lease holders in equal proportion, one share each. It is managed by a Board of volunteer Directors, elected by owners. The Board, contracts Parsons, Son and Basley to act as Managing Agents, administering all aspects of Oyster Quay.

OQML is governed by a head lease from Portsmouth City Council and also a marina lease from Premier Marinas Ltd.

It is the policy of the Board to maintain the property to a very high standard.

They also take an active part in the Port Solent Community Working Party, which oversees planning developments affecting the whole of Port Solent. The present ‘Portsmouth Plan’ includes the regeneration of Port Solent and a new bridge onto Portsmouth Island, from Port Solent, for pedestrians, cycles and public transport.

Location and Surroundings

Oyster Quay sits in a prime waterfront setting within the wider Port Solent area, combining marina-side living with the convenience of nearby amenities and services. The surroundings offer a relaxed, well-presented environment, with attractive views, waterside walkways, and a sense of space that suits both quiet day-to-day living and time outdoors.

Beyond the estate, Port Solent provides a distinctive marina village atmosphere and a varied choice of things to do throughout the year. Whether you enjoy walking by the water, meeting friends locally, or simply appreciating the setting, Oyster Quay is well placed to make the most of the area while remaining comfortably residential.
